Here are my contributions:
-------------------------
Pete Townshend - Misunderstood
This song always represented who I was and I felt going to be.
-------------------------
Peter Gabriel - Here Comes The Flood
Always felt this song represented the environment and if we didn't change... it would change us. Plus it's a very sad sounding song.
-------------------------
U2 - One Tree Hill
just a beautiful song, which is strong in meaning... like a lightening storm.
-------------------------
Alice Cooper - Wind-Up Toy
I hear voices and I find the chatter darkening, feeling like a wind-up toy.
-------------------------
Bob Seger - Beautiful Loser
My life... i am always that guy, helps someone out and ends up with the flat tire after everyone is gone.
-------------------------
Cat Stevens - If You Want to Sing Out Sing Out
Just wanting to be heard, so I sing out, sing out loud.
-------------------------
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
Youth, hot cars, hotter girls... nothing I ever had... except the big hair.
-------------------------
Webb Wilder - Big Time
Dreams can be at your feet, ya' just gotta believe... and remember you are never to small.
-------------------------
Tori Amos - Precious Things
I heard this song and knew it was going to be a strength in all who needed it... man, woman, child.
-------------------------
The Police - Man in a Suitcase
First marriage ended soon after I moved into my home, it will never be my house.
-------------------------
Plus:
Pearl Jam - Jeremy
Everyone thought since I was named Jeremy, I was a little sick in the head... sometimes I am.
-------------------------
Thanks for letting me be part of this, brought some good memories...
Wonderful selection, you have done remarkably well.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
OMG, I nearly included a Tori Amos song! I still have my original copy of Little Earthquakes.
ReplyDeleteA great list of songs, especially Cat Stevens.
Awesome list! Tori Amos is my fave singer... love Precious Things! And Here I Go Again by Whitesnake was my theme song back in the day. Fit just perfect every time I broke up with a guy. ;)

ReplyDeleteGreat choices Jeremy! I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one to include youtube samples.
ReplyDeleteNice variety, Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteAnd your last pic is funny!
Thanks for participating.
I recognize the artists but not the songs. I usually like anything from Peter Gabriel and Pete Townsend. I'll check them out.
ReplyDeleteLots of good stuff. Roxanne by The Police was close to getting into my list.
ReplyDeleteCold As Heaven
Love the list. Silent All These Years - Tori Amos was barely edged out of mine. Love her.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! There's a couple artists that aren't familiar, so I'll have to check them out. It's also nice to be reminded of songs I haven't heard in forever.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your upcoming blogfest!
Great list! I went through a Pearl Jam period. Jeremy is such a sad song.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I went through a Pearl Jam phase. Jeremy is such a sad song.
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe it was the Zombie thing too that lent to your reputation as "sick in the head." tee hee. Nice list, thanks for the videos and the insight into why they speak to you.
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices. Which song would you most likely recommend for one who's being hunted down by a zombie?
ReplyDeleteGreat list. Know most of them. It's like time travel. :)
ReplyDeletejeremy is an AWESOME song! and i hear you about big hair music... so good! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list. I had never heard of "Big Time" but it is an awesome jive - I may have to add it to my dance lists.
ReplyDeleteHere Comes the Flood is such a beautiful, sad song.
ReplyDeleteNice list!
Man great selections! I'm the female counterpart in Beautiful Loser :)
ReplyDeleteThought I was already following you, hum? I am now! :)
Jules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow

Make sure you check my Wednesday post!
Tossing It Out
Great list! I could easily have put a couple of these on mine. Especially Bob Seger...
ReplyDeleteWhite Snake and Pearl Jam?! You win!
ReplyDeleteExcellent variety and choices. Happy to see a Cat Stevens tune, the first I've seen today.
ReplyDeleteHere I Go Again, is like the soundtrack of my life. Well, up until I got married and had kids. I guess they need to do a sequel for people that have their families in tow. great list.
ReplyDeleteoooooh loving your list!! You have some great songs on there.
ReplyDeleteHow did I forget Here I Go Again for my list?? Gah! That is MY song! 10 is way too few to narrow down favorites.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your list!
Wow, I actually recognized most of your list!
ReplyDeleteI incorporated my music list into my submission for the Write The Next Line blogfest...but since music isn't that big a thing for me, the list isn't terribly impressive. And it's short.
But you might be interested to know the story includes zombies....
Not familiar with any of them. But I liked that Webb Wilder. Almost sounds country. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBest Whitesnake song!! You've got such a great list!!
ReplyDeleteYou've got some great songs here. Even a U2! I would have loved to have Pearl Jam on my list but only 10, ugh!
ReplyDeleteLove this list! Had a face to face moment with David Coverdale once.....
ReplyDeleteThe Police, U2 and Pete Townsend. Yes, Yes, and Yes!
ReplyDeleteAhh, some great ones! Love Tori, Whitesnake and Peter Gabriel ~ thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is a wide mix. I love it when people listen to a variety of music. Music is so evocative - life and the moment gets stored inside the tracks.
ReplyDeleteI love your list but my favourite is Peter Gabriel - Here Comes The Flood.
ReplyDeleteInteresting mix. Familiar with the bands but not most of the songs you chose.
ReplyDeleteNice selection, I love to see people with a varied taste in music :) Cheers for stopping by! ;D
ReplyDeleteInteresting. VERY interesting!
ReplyDeleteWhy? Because the Who song "Behind Blue Eyes" has always been a kind of personal anthem for my Brother. (Not the song you chose for yourself, but not far off either.)
And because... I LOVE "Beautiful Loser"! Both the album and the title track. The song has always - ALWAYS! - reminded me of my friend Kelly ("Andy") Anderson, who committed suicide in 1986. I did a whole blog bit about him recently, and although I don't specifically remember, I would be shocked to learn that I didn't mention the Bob Seger song "Beautiful Loser" somewhere in that installment.
Another song I absolutely love from the same album is "Jody Girl". One of the saddest songs ever penned. Catch me at the wrong moment and that song can truly make me cry.
I can't believe someone actually had "Beautiful Loser" on their Top Ten list. That is SO cool!

'Loyal American Underground'
I didn't list any of these, but I enjoy all of these songs and/or artists! Nice :)
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! Love that you shared the videos! Christy
ReplyDeleteA cool list Jeremy. Pearl Jam - doesn't he have the weirdest, evilest look to him? He should have starred in horror movies. Love his music though.
ReplyDeleteAnd Peter Gabriel - just awesome.
.......dhole
I love "Here I Go Again" and "One Tree Hill." Good choices!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and comment, so you have never heard of any of my list. I take the remark winner of (a word I couldn't understand) as a compliament. But at the end of the day what a dull sad world if we all liked the same music.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day.
Yvonne.
U2, Whitesnake? Love them! Too bad I couldn't put more than 10 groups in this. *Sigh*

Excellent list! I love Pearl Jam, though I lost that CD a million+ years ago. And that's a great Tori song :) Oh, and Cat Stevens! I wish I'd thought of that...
