Going to 3D... Put on Your Glasses Now!

Lots to tell you, so I thought I would share it with you today on Sunday... Yeah I know Sunday, but tomorrow begins the "A to Z" Challenge where you can sign up for it. All the rules, all the fun and all the great people we be there... will you, you should.... all the cool people are.

So get your glasses on... be amazed!

Second thing, you may not know this... last year I got the pleasure to interview the group "The Blanks" and it turned out to be a very cool friendship with them. I got the chance to help them out on a few projects from doing the layout for their last Cd and a few designs for T-shirts [sample below]. You can find out more about them and the things I did over at "TWO THUMBS" my review site. Also you can find out more of my new site where I have started covering more score/soundtrack music. I will be doing more interviews with those folks I think you all should know and crossed fingers that I can bring more talented composers.

This is from "The Blanks" merchandise site... I even got the name of the shirt "Crackle"... for me it was a cool thing!

Happy 3D Day!
Jeremy [Retro-Zombie]

Ps. Chuck vs the Show End. So NBC's Chuck ended on Friday night, it was very sad and disappointing for fans... most of all the lead characters Chuck and Sarah. If you don't watch, don't worry my advice is to skip all of the Season 5 and watch Seasons 1 to 4... trust me.

A to Z Challenge Is Just Around The Corner...

A TO Z CHALLENGE
It's Friday and as the header reads and you all being as smart as you all are I don't need to repeat it, but I can tell you how to be involved. I have also been working on this button for the "A to Z April Challenge", it has taken me some time to get it finished. You tell me if you like it, it's got what I love to see most... Movies and they are not necessarily good ones or are they? The other is a banner with more Retro-Text and I wanted to keep it simple... These are not coded right to be banners/buttons yet, I wanted to make sure you liked them first...

Sorry I have been dealing with the stuff at home, thanks to those who know... I thank you for the kind and encouraging words. I hope to being back on the normal track very soon, looks like I have the weekend to catch up. Wait the question did anyone even know I was gone, I so love setting up the post to run for the next day or more... cause you know I am working on this post from the future.

Guess what everyone who leaves a comment here,
are famous lottery winners... in the future!

So Happy Movie Maniac Friday,
-Jeremy [Retro-Zombie]

Ps. Tonight is the last two episodes of "NBC's Chuck" which will end it's five years on television, so not that you are going to watch it... I am. I wanted to thank all the cast, crew, creators of the show and wanted to wish you all much success. I am looking for that one image that will some up the five years of this show and one that features the cast at their best. It is an impossible task, not everyone is ever in the same shot.

-------------------------------------

Iron Man III or is it 2 1/2?

Yeah I Know, But In My Defense
Iron Man Is In The Back...

When the film "The Avengers" comes out is that considered with the cast of Marvel characters a sequel to the films released before it. So Iron Man would be the third in the series or "Thor" or "Captain America" would be following their other films... I don't know how to place "The Hulk" cause he was played by three different people and where do you put "Nick Fury" he was in many of the films. Either way to look at this upcoming film's success, it will open the door to many characters being in the same film... like Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Pinhead, Michael Myers or Chucky... to be the newest dream/scream team.

Ghost Rider II vs Grease II's "Cool Rider"

Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider II - Spirit of Vengeance.  In this gritty new vision for the character, directed by Neveldine/Taylor (Crank), Johnny is still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter – but he may risk everything as he teams up with the leader of a group of rebel monks (Idris Elba) to save a young boy from the devil… and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.

Sequels can be a good thing or a bad thing, but you all know that though the question who would win in fight where "these dudes" ride motorcycles. I also think the lead character were named Johnny, this I choose not confirm then you might me a fan of musicals...

Getting to Know You, Well Really it's about me...

I Don't Make Monkeys... I Train Them!
So I have some great friends here in the world, more friends on the internet than in real life... so is that a good thing? I got the chance to interviewed by my very lovely friend "Britnie" @ It's On Random", she wanted to know about me and I was pleased to share more of me. Cause you all know I love to share stuff about me, in case you didn't know I am more than happy to tell you some of my highlights... you just need to ask.

And it's Friday and we in Illinois prepare for a snow storm I will most likely be playing my new "Nightmare Before Christmas Monopoly" game and watching season 4 of "NBC's Chuck" again as the last season ends this month [sad].
--------------------------------
 --------------------------------
So make the best of it, weekend!
-Jeremy [Retro-Zombie]

Last thing... If you didn't know I am switching over my review site "TWO THUMBS" over to more of score/soundtrack site with the hopes to bring more interviews with Composers, Film Directors and Actors/Actresses... so please stop over and see some of the changes.

Last thing, thing... why the monkeys? go over to "It's On Random" to find out....

Another Way to Say "I Love You"... Amber!

Amber Heard
Am I the only one not getting this, she is STUNNING?

Okay another day in paradise... I am trying to catch up on things from backing up files, finding a job, designing new stuff and keeping up with all your great comments. I found a new blogger add on [settings/comments] that allows you to respond to each comment individually, which I am going to try to do.  I have noticed more of you are using this technique and thought I should do the same... so I am.

Here is another one of those "animated gifs", called "Thunder-dome"... it's not a stretch on the name:

-Jeremy [Retro-Zombie]

I WANT TO TELL YOU MORE...

I cannot tell you, cause I might not be able to...

A to Z Challenge Gets a Face...

That is correct the challenge called ""A TO Z BLOGGER CHALLENGE" has now got a Facebook page and there is a "Video" contest going on as we speak. Not to mention there is the January 30th sign up coming, so much going on and it's only the beginning cause April is just around the corner. I have been a lacking member for a few days, but I have an excuse... some family issues have risen and it's out of my control. So I will keep my fingers crossed I don't get the boot, I am designing some new art/logos for the event so hopefully those will be complete for the big "sign up" on the 30th of this month.

Here is another one of my silly little videos that was made in the lab, we will call it "Smokin" I hope you enjoy it as they will get better as I learn outside the basics. Many of you might not I helped do some clean art that is featured in one of the booklets to their music cd's... a long time ago. I didn't receive any credit because I really didn't do anything, but I know where it is and smile... cause who doesn't love the crue!
----------------------------------

----------------------------------
So please start following the the "A to Z" Challenge, I believe it's going to shutdown the blogger for the month of April.

Have a Smokin' Day!

I Hate You, Gemma Arterton... Don't Answer the Phone!

Ring...Ring...Ring...
FIRST...So the other day I got a call as I went to answer it I looked and it gave me a warning that I felt I should listen to... So my advice if the phone tells you it's a "phone scam", then it's a phone scam.

SECOND... Gemma Arterton from out of no where she came, then you start to look around and she is everywhere. Making my heart beat a little pitter patter, I just don't think it's fair for me too hate you from a far. So Gemma please drop me a line/email  and maybe I can be swayed by an autogragh or an interview to change my hate to a love.

Yo, Ricky Gervais...

Silly Hollywood
Am I the only one who really doesn't care about the award shows anymore, last year they said no more Ricky Grevais hosting. Are they kidding he brought a lot more life into a ho-hum award show and yet he is back... I didn't watch and plan to never again. I don't drool over this garbage... movies are good and the great ones get missed... which films did you like that were not even offered? Who is tired of the same actors showing up that really phone in the same style every time, yet this time it's a master piece? I like Ricky Gervais, he is a real talent... you know he is laughing at us.

So onto weirder stuff, I have been stretching my skills outside my normal stuff, I have been making things more animated... good or bad. I made a couple play things that I thought I would share, so below to go along with my switch over to more "RETRO" things I give you....

Friday the 13th and Cute Puppy Photo...

Boo!
So we have to look at this day as either a creepy bad luck day or a holiday for people, so which do you think it should be. Either way it's a great day to bring up the whole "Jason Voorhees" thing and if you don't know I cannot tell you. Now why could they have not made the remake better, they had the elements... instead it was just another generic rip-off of it's original.

So on with the show... some facts about our friendly neighborhood repeat offender:

-Who is Jason's mother?

Pamela Voorhees. Jason's mother Pamela Voorhees was the original killer from "Friday the 13th". She was played by Betsy Palmer.

-What happened to cause the mayhem at Camp Crystal Lake?

Jason drowned in the lake. Jason drowned after falling (or being pushed) into Crystal Lake. The camp counselors were not paying attention to the children, and did not notice the drowning boy.

-Who was Jason's father?

Elias Voorhees. Jason's father is Elias Voorhees. This information is found on several fan sites, as well as mentioned in "Jason Goes to Hell".

-When was Jason born?

June 13, 1946. Jason was born on June 13, 1946. According to the films, that date was a Friday, although historically, it was a Thursday.

-Who played Jason in the first "Friday" movie?

Ari Lehman. Ari Lehman played little Jason Voorhees in "Friday the 13th".

-In which "Friday" movie is Jason the victim of identity theft?

Part 5. An impostor portrayed Jason in "Friday the 13th: Part 5".

-In which movie did Jason acquire his trademark hockey mask?

Part 3. In "Part One", we don't see much of Jason. In "Part 2", Jason wears a burlap sack over his head. In "Part 3", Jason finally acquires the mask.

-A trip down memory lane: Jason bashes a girl against a tree while in her sleeping bag in "Jason X". In which other films does Jason dispose of unaware campers?

Parts 2,3,4,6,7,8,9. Some kills are just so good, that they need to be used again. Jason is a master of disposing of unaware campers, who seem to enjoy taking tranquility for granted. Jason doesn't kill any campers in part one (his mother does the dirty work), in part 5 (the impostor), or in part 11 (none of the victims are camping). The actual "Sleeping Bag Kill" is used in Pat VII: A New Blood, and in Jason X.

-Which actor has portrayed Jason in the most films?

Kane Hodder. Any Jason fan would know that Kane Hodder is by far the best master of mayhem, having played Jason in "Part 7", "Part 8", "Part 9", and "Jason X".

-Kane Hodder did NOT like to play tricks on people while dressed in the Jason costume.

False. Kane was notorious for fooling around on set with the costume. He tells one story about how his dressing trailer was a 1/4 mile away from the set down a gravel road. He was walking back to his trailer in full Jason regalia, when a local yokel came up to him and asked if he was with the movie. He did the classic Jason trick and just stood there. The man asked him again, and Kane lunged at him and grunted. The man ran away, falling and tripping as if it was a scene from the movie.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Let The Monster Rise! [The Dark Knight Rises]

BANE!
is a fictional character who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in Batman: Vengeance of Bane #1 (January 1993), and was created by Chuck Dixon, Doug Moench, and Graham Nolan. Bane has been one of Batman's more physically and intellectually powerful foes. A virtually unstoppable juggernaut, he is best known for breaking Batman's back in the "Knightfall" story arc.

So what will this movie bring with so much discussion on Catwoman, I believe she will just be the distraction as the Dark Knight will do battle with Mr. Ugly.

Oh What A World.

Vulgar, Cant & Slang Word From 1870: RUNNING STATIONER

RUNNING STATIONER, a hawker of books, ballads, dying speeches, and newspapers. Persons of this class formerly used to run with newspapers, blowing a horn, when they were sometimes termed flying STATIONERS. Now-a-days, in the event of any political or social disturbance, the miserable relics of these peripatetic newsmen bawl the heads of the telegram or information in quiet London thoroughfares, to the disturbance of the residents.

A to Z Challenge: Update... Wonder Woman Wednesday!!

There have been many changes in only under a week, one being the numbers involved our growing... we added Karen G @ "http://karenjonesgowen.blogspot.com/" as a new team member. Karen is lucky thirteen and this is going to be worlds of fun for everyone. Second there is a video and new banners being created as we speak... some by me and the others throwing in their creative minds. So I encourage you all to visit the floating zebra up top and get involved...

I know some of you have special days where you feature your favorite characters, I am not sure you all saw this yet photo. That is our favorite Smallville's Lois Lane "Erica Durance" on a episode of "NBC's Harry's Law" dressed as Wonder Woman. I give her a Zing!... Zing!

Description: In Harry's Law episode 2.11 Erica Durance guest stars as a psychologically infirm woman who retreats into the persona of the DC Comics heroine to help wreak revenge on perpetrators of domestic abuse.

So have a great day!

I Hate You, Yvonne Strahovski

Sarah On A Plane...
a picture is worth a thousand words...

Yvonne Strahovski (born Yvonne Strzechowski; 30 July 1982) is an Australian actress. Born in Australia to Polish immigrant parents, Strahovski speaks Polish and English. After graduating from the University of Western Sydney, she featured in a number of Australian television shows before starring as Sarah Walker in the American television series Chuck.

So who am I kidding, I love this woman... you came into my life and now you are leaving, though not for good. I know you are just playing a character "Sarah Walker-Bartowski, but you have been a member of the family for five years. I am sure you will be a huge success in films, video games and maybe another television venture you will always be welcome in our home.

Yes another "Good-bye Chuck" moment... it ends at the end of the month, more to come. Yvonne maybe I could be less of a stalker/fan if you might grant me an interview... maybe a autograph... turn my hate to like.  All the Best, I will be waiting by the phone for your call.

Waiting, waiting, waiting...

Sneak Peek: The Avengers [2012]

In “Marvel’s The Avengers,” superheroes team up to pull the world back from the brink of disaster when an unexpected enemy threatens global security.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble in summer 2012.

So I was on the set as these unknown characters from Marvel Comics prepared for their shots in 3D, sorry it's a little blurry I wasn't allowed to be in 3D. Which is good cause I wasn't sure how to come back from the 3D, it must be hard to work in that... I hope they get paid three times.

-Jeremy [Retro-Zombie]

Ps. I wanted to welcome all the newest followers and wanted to let you know you are now family... and for family you are all invited over for dinner.

I Hate You, Zachary Levi!

Chuck You!
Okay I really don't hate you, but you make the ladies swoon over you and then you grab attention from your show "Chuck".  This leads you to work with Disney and Fox on a few small projects where you scream at "Alvin" and start to sing with the girl with the really long hair.  While maintaining your friendship with Adam Green, which leads you to the "Team Unicorn"... this getting you closer to my secret crush Clare. Okay then there is this singing thing again, I want to say at the "Oscars"... or the song "Terrified".

Not even to mention that "Chuck" is leaving the little screen, which means "Team Bartowski" comes to an end... no more Sarah Walker-Bartowski [my secret crush on Yvonne, well it's not a secret really]... you have to start an awesome company "The Nerd Machine" designing stuff for people like me. I want you know to slow down or at the very least send me a care package [xxl]... maybe an interview. So mister get in-touch me soon about that care package [xxl] and maybe I can change my thought on hate to a like.

I will be waiting at the mailbox!

All Good Things... End!

Boldly Go...
It's five year mission to explore strange new worlds, nope it's not "Star Trek"... it's NBC's "Chuck".  So the journey comes to an end sometime this month, I loved this show and if they would not have played the time-card shuffle on NBC's lineup... it might have been a bigger following. Every year this show has been has met with a certain doom from what night it's on to a constant worry if they were going to get a few more shows filmed.

Well they to survive, now I have to respect NBC for letting them finish their seasons... not like unfinished shows such as "Adventures of Brisco County Jr." or "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". So I will be bringing more "Chuck" to you over the month, as the schedule looks it's last show will air in the last week of January.

Didn't NBC cancel "Star Trek: TOS"... what happened with that?

What Are You Looking Forward To In 2012?

I'm Late...
From Movies like "The Avengers", "Hobbit Part I" or "Dark Knight Rises" being some of the top films making big bucks. I know there like 10 more big titles, but I really want to know what your favorite movie is that is not one of these blockbusters? I am looking forward to "Ghost Rider II: Spirit of Vengeance", "Wrath of the Titans" or "Tim Burton's Dark Shadows"... this all before June.

So what are you looking forward to in 2012 in the way of "Gotta-see-em".
