Days of the Dead: Michael Berryman [Interview]

The Hills Have Eyes is a 1977 American exploitation-horror film directed by Wes Craven and starring Susan Lanier, Michael Berryman and Dee Wallace. It is about a family on a road trip stranded in the Nevada desert who become hunted by a clan of deformed cannibals in the surrounding hills. The film was released in cinemas on 22 July 1977, and has since become a cult classic.

So I lied, I wasn't going to post this until Monday... but I got the an interview with one of my favorite actors in the business. You know his face, but you may not know his name.. may I introduce "Michael Berryman" and thank him for the chance again to talk. If you notice the t-shirt I am wearing is now available in the "2013" edition at my NEATORAMA Store... it too has a 20 year anniversary... that is another story!

Man of Steel: Versus

 ------------------------------------------
Today, Superman is commonly seen as a brave and kind-hearted hero with a strong sense of justice, morality, and righteousness. He adheres to an unwavering moral code instilled in him by his adoptive parents. His commitment to operating within the law has been an example to many citizens and other heroes but has stirred resentment and criticism among others, who refer to him as the "big blue boy scout." Superman can be rather rigid in this trait, causing tensions in the superhero community.
 ------------------------------------------
 ------------------------------------------
So I have not had a versus vs. versus in sometime, so I thought I would throw you all a one... My question is not the obvious "who is your favorite Superman"... mine who stands best for Truth, Justice and the American Way? They all stand for some type of humanity, some cause... which one fills the shoes the best.

This will be the last of the posting on the Man of Steel... I filled the month, well at least my regular postings... I won't be here on Friday so this will run until Monday when we welcome in the month of July! Though there are hundreds of Superman aspects I didn't cover from costume, music, bad guys, good guys... well you get the picture. Scratching the surface... maybe I will return to it down the road.

Man of Steel: Supergirl "Past and Present"

Kara Zor-El is an American fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics and related media. The character was created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino. As Supergirl, Kara Zor-El serves as the biological cousin and female counterpart to DC Comic's iconic superhero Superman, created by writer Jerome Siegel and designed by artist Joseph Shuster. Since her introduction in 1959 Supergirl has become one of the most iconic and recognizable characters in comics.

Lara (née Lara Lor-Van) is a fictional character who appears in Superman comics published by DC Comics. Lara is the biological mother of Superman, and the wife of scientist Jor-El. Lara Lor-Van is Lara's full maiden name, as "Lor-Van" is the name of Lara's father. Most depictions of Kryptonian culture show that females use their father's full name as their last names before marriage, and then are known simply by their first names after marriage.

I mention this to those who have watched "Smallville" that Helen Slater who played in the "Supergirl" film turned out to be Clark's Kryptonian mother "Lara-El" in the show. Laura Vandervoort got to play opposite to her in one of the show's episodes. I have/had a crush on Helen Slater since I had seen her in this film, I was in my teens and she well is and will always be a hot woman from Krypton.

Man of Steel: SMALLVILLE

Smallville is an American television series developed by writers/producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. It is based on the DC Comics character Superman, originally created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The television series was initially broadcast by The WB Television Network (The WB), premiering on October 16, 2001. After Smallville's fifth season, The WB and UPN merged to form The CW Television Network, which became the broadcaster for the show in the United States. It ended its tenth and final season on May 13, 2011. The series follows the adventures of Clark Kent (Tom Welling), who resides in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. The first four seasons focus on Clark and his friends' high school years. After season five, the show ventured into more adult settings, eventually focusing on his career at the Daily Planet, as well as introducing other DC comic book superheroes and villains.

I watched this show only missing a few here and there episodes over the 10 seasons it was on, I felt in the last episode it opened the show up for more. I would have called it "Metropolis", giving us a direction that took years to get to.

So I will share more about this show and it's cast... did you ever watch the show and what are your thoughts, you can always get a hold of the dvd's and start watching. Black Canary is such a nice woman to have been able to meet [click here]...

And this was originally posted last Thursday... well my screw ups got the best of me... only a few folks saw this. I didn't want it to be missed...

Man of Steel: Lois And Clark

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (often called Lois and Clark or The New Adventures of Superman on the BBC) is a live-action American television series based on the Superman comic books. Lois & Clark aired on ABC from September 12, 1993 to June 14, 1997 and starred Dean Cain as Superman/Clark Kent and Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane.

Developed for Television by Deborah Joy LeVine (based upon characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster),the series loosely follows the comic philosophy of writer John Byrne, with Clark Kent as the true personality, and Superman as a secondary disguise. As the show's title suggests, it focuses as much on the relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane as on the adventures of Clark's alter-ego.

Here is another "Man of Steel" behind the scenes shot... once again great attention to the details, if you look you can see me in this photo.

Have you had enough of "Man of Steel", I am really trying to see if I can make it until the end of the month. In the brighter side of things, my books are almost done... we be having a giveaway and more coming soon, so things are looking up.

So did you watch Lois and Clark, I enjoyed it for the time it came out... it started jumping the shark too soon I think.

Man of Steel: Little Green Men [We are not Alone]

We are not alone in the universe, that is what some would tell us and the rest would say we are the master race... what do you think? Over the weekend I was able to see the film "Man of Steel", I will not be giving a review or my thoughts quite yet... I feel that if there are some of you that still want to see it, you don't need me ruining any of your experiences. I know I can share my wife's thoughts on it in a few words "Wow, he is hot"... not referring to temperature of this guy wearing a suit...

So how was the film, without spoilers? The film is a take from the reboot-style of the Star Trek, giving us things we know and then adding a stronger more in-depth idea. Scratching the surface of the "Man of Steel" and his story, well not really scratching... you get a great idea of who the man is behind the "S".

As to the little town known as "Smallville" I watched for things I knew and things I had seen walking around, so many quick shots... my eyes went a little bonkers. I will see this again, I will own it for my collection and did I like it... simply yes!

Man of Steel: Countdown - Side by Side Photos

Bringing you the image I think best suits this whole leading up to the release of the film "Man of Steel", it shows us an American Staple... you see it I know.

Here is a very cool man, hired to create this iconic American Flag... the town has decided to keep this as a memory and staple to the community.

Here is a man behind the scenes making sure everything was being built to specs, he was very nice to me. We chatted for a few minutes about everything, before he walked away to do his job... I took a photo. Bad thing is I didn't bother to get his name, I really was just very happy he didn't throw me off the set. I am sure I can track him down after the film gets released... which is uhmmm....
It's today... it's here... fingers crossed.

Man of Steel: Countdown - Side by Side Photos

I think that this bank is going to be safe, I don't think this is a spoiler... if you have seen early production photos that were released to the public about a year ago. It features the Man of Steel doing something that involves a large circular steel door.

I guess Smallville is up with the times and adds a little more to my "Non" Spoiler thing up above... I would also like to point out that this building was a parking lot without any such buildings.

So while you are in town, please feel free to stop in and get a slice... of the "Triple J" pizza... I think that was actually a pizza place... just adjusted to fit the film.

Geeze! I guess I was up pretty close to many of the things, they great folks building and designing this stuff were very cool with us gawkers...

Countdown to the Man of Steel: Side by Side Photos

Here was an abandon building that was refurbished to suit the needs of the crew and the film... it's amazing what they can do and how details are so important.

Here is another thing that was so small, it may not even be seen in any of the film... they built a reality office and in the window were these "buy house" sell sheets.

What was more entertaining is they had "Brady Bunch" bathrooms... just one that I think we ever had seen in the show. Thought the listing did have some nice sell prices... well for being fabricated.
