All Hail the QUEEN!

Death is the cessation of all biological functions that sustain a particular living organism. Phenomena which commonly bring about death include biological aging (senescence), predation, malnutrition, disease, suicide, murder and accidents or trauma resulting in terminal injury. Bodies of living organisms begin to decompose shortly after death. There is no scientific evidence as to whether or not consciousness survives the death of an organism.

Doctor Who Knows, Do You?

Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord—a time travelling, humanoid alien known as the Doctor. He explores the universe in his TARDIS (acronym: Time and Relative Dimension in Space), a sentient time-traveling space ship. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, a common sight in Britain in 1963, when the series first aired. Along with a succession of companions, the Doctor faces a variety of foes while working to save civilizations, help ordinary people, and right wrongs.

Dalek in-universe history has seen many retroactive changes, which have caused continuity problems. When the Daleks first appeared in The Daleks, they were presented as the descendants of the Dals, mutated after a brief nuclear war between the Dal and Thal races 500 years ago. This race of Daleks is destroyed when their power supply is wrecked. However they reappear in The Dalek Invasion of Earth, where they have conquered Earth in the 22nd Century. 

Later stories saw them develop time travel and a space empire. In 1975, Terry Nation revised the Daleks' origins in Genesis of the Daleks, where the Dals were now called Kaleds (of which "Daleks" is an anagram), and the Dalek design was attributed to one man, the crippled Kaled chief scientist and evil genius, Davros. Instead of a short nuclear exchange, the Kaled-Thal war was portrayed as a thousand-year-long war of attrition, fought with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons causing widespread mutations among the Kaled race. Davros experimented on living Kaled cells to find the ultimate mutated form of the Kaled species and placed the subjects in tank-like "travel machines" whose design was based on his own life-support chair.

And yes... I am letting you know that I have made a shirt design that I thought fit these to the needs of the Daleks. I want to welcome in the latest doctor and the actor "Peter Capaldi" 12th M.D. all the best to the new season. As I tried to capture another side of the Bristol Renaissance Faire, I discovered a new world of adventures and sharing this with you. I am thankful for all of you out there following the tour, it's been interesting... you are good people, it's funny one story sparks another story and so on. I really need to lock-down all the different encounters from when I can remember to the present. I find that it is a a great journey and some of the stories are funny, sad and very memorable. When I told the story of James Doohan, I meant it to be a tribute and message to my father who I miss very much... the things he did as a father. He was a good man, I never really appreciated things until he was gone.

Telling stories, sharing stories... that is how we remember...

Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics applied to everyday objects, resulting in a contradiction with common sense. The scenario presents a cat that may be both alive and dead, depending on an earlier random event. Although the original "experiment" was imaginary, similar principles have been researched and used in practical applications. The thought experiment is also often featured in theoretical discussions of the interpretations of quantum mechanics. In the course of developing this experiment, Schrödinger coined the term Verschränkung (entanglement).

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe! - Blade Runner

Blade Runner is a 1982 American dystopian science fiction thriller film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Edward James Olmos. The screenplay, written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, is loosely based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.

The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019 in which genetically engineered organic robots called replicants—visually indistinguishable from adult humans—are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation as well as by other "mega-corporations" around the world. Their use on Earth is banned and replicants are exclusively used for dangerous, menial or leisure work on off-world colonies. Replicants who defy the ban and return to Earth are hunted down and "retired" by police special operatives known as "Blade Runners". The plot focuses on a brutal and cunning group of recently escaped replicants hiding in Los Angeles and the burnt-out expert Blade Runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), who reluctantly agrees to take on one more assignment to hunt them down. 

So I am going to start sharing the ideas behind my art/designs and luck would have it I get two ways to show you in my "BOOKS" and now "SHIRTS"... here is one of those t-shirt designs for me is like "Hey look this large human shaped box showed up, here is what the label had said"... would you open it? The future can be a scary place, when we let those robots take our places in daily tasks, so please open your box... it's here because you ordered it.

I just got the Blu-Ray edition of this film and got inspired, well I guess that is we do get inspired. You know the version where we are lead to believe that Dekard is one that he seeks out as a Blade Runner. So in your own travels today and have a moment, please [CLICK HERE] cause "I know you want more life"... do you know that Rob Zombie's song "More-Human-Than Human" was partial inspired by this film? I remember in my life this moved me out of just being a Star Wars fan into another world of Science Fiction. So for you all reading this, "BE INSPIRED" find your "thing" that moves you and do it!

FREE GIVEAWAYS and MORE!

So so much going on yesterday were you able to catch it all, wait let me back up that statement... so much going on over the last weekend I have to roll it into Tuesday's Post. 

First did you get a chance to read my insightful interviews with composers "BRUNO VALENTI" and "TONY LONGWORTH" and many reviews for summer films. A few more cool surprises to come, so for now click on over and take a look "HOWLIN' WOLF".

Second... Saturday we went to the "Bristol Renaissance Faire" just on the border of Wisconsin and this year I decided to shoot a bunch of videos that best shares the experiences. I was not able to capture everything, this place is huge and fun for ye all. See the "VIDEO" below?

Third spent the day with my beautiful wife and went to see "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" and had a nice dinner... then watched "The Collector" and "The Collection". You might recall I got the chance to have a nice meet and greet with the cast and crew of the sequel "The Collection" at the "Days of the Dead" last year. CHEAP TRICK: Mommy is All Right, Daddy is All Right... They Just Seem a little Weird!

Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1973. The band consists of Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass guitar), and Bun E. Carlos (drums). Their biggest hits include "Surrender", "I Want You to Want Me", "Dream Police" and "The Flame".

They have often been referred to in the Japanese press as the "American Beatles". In October 2007, the Illinois Senate passed a resolution designating April 1 as Cheap Trick Day in the state. The band was also ranked No. 25 in VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

 

CHEAP TRICK: ART that I was playing around with... I wanted it to look like it was the late 70's into the early 80's... I find I am still stuck there artistically. What was your first song experience with this iconic group known as [drum roll please] CHEAP TRICK!

"WOW" Pee Wee Herman

Pee-wee Herman is a comic fictional character created and portrayed by American comedian Paul Reubens. He is best known for his two television series and film series during the 1980s. The childlike Pee-wee Herman character developed as a stage act that quickly led to an HBO special in 1981. As the stage performance gained further popularity, Reubens took the character to motion picture with Pee-wee's Big Adventure in 1985, toning down the adult innuendo for the appeal of children. This paved the way for Pee-wee's Playhouse, an Emmy Award winning children's series that ran on CBS from 1986-1991. Another film, Big Top Pee-wee, was released in 1988.
