We are where East "kollides" with West. An animation convention that has something for every fandom!  Whether you just heard of us, or are a returning attendee, welcome to Kollision Con! We look forward to seeing you at the convention!
We tried to cover more of people we had not seen before, so these people are awesome making it to... new and original costumes. Now don't get me wrong everyone who gets into a costume is awesome, we respect every one of you.

Kollision Con: Amanda Lepre

With rich soprano vocals and aggressive, "pop-metal" acoustic guitar riffs, Amanda Lepre's music feels like strapping on armor and suiting up for an epic journey. Her driving melodies and lyric imagery make it easy to picture the heroes of classic literature and video games that often inspire her songwriting.

Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, Amanda Lepre (pronounced "leh-PREE") has been living and performing in Austin, TX for 9 years. She began her career by networking with Austin musicians at coffee shop open-mic nights and by playing small gigs in local venues. Over the past decade she has developed a stylistic niche and built an enthusiastic multi-city audience. To generate an even larger buzz, Amanda embarked on an East Coast mini-tour in April 2012, covering Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.

Amanda's first full-length album, Beneath the Forest of Error, was released in June 2012 under her own production company, Infermore Music. With 11 complete tracks, the album is a progressive, acoustic-metal journey of heroism, triumph, and despair, interspersed with numerous nods to The Inferno, by Dante Alghieri, and various other pieces of literature, pop-culture, and classic video games.

We recorded the whole concert, she was awesome... I hope to bring a lot of the concert to you all, for now please listen to her track "Slay the Dragon" below.

Kollision Con: D&D Sluggers

D&D SLUGGERS use Nintendo DS, rock guitar, and soulful vocals to create dance pop with crunchy chiptune beats and geeky lyrics. The resulting sound is equal parts Mega Man 3 and TMNT 2 as it is Fitz and the Tantrums and Weezer. If you like I FIGHT DRAGONS or AWKWARD TERRIBLE, then D&D SLUGGERS are right up your alley.

Kollision Con: Professor Shyguy

Professor Shyguy's music can be best described as; high energy, chiptune-electro-rocking, 8-bit, epically vocalized, highly danceable, theatrical nerd-pop. Singing 50% about video games and the other 50% is anything from Space/Time to English Language gymnastics. His performance consists of singing, playing guitar, keyboards, and drums, sometimes three of those things at the same time. Since the first album he has shared the stage with The Protomen, Peelander Z, Ellen McLain (aka the voice of GLaDOS), Samantha Newark (The voice of Jem of 'and the Holograms'), and more. Just recently released second album with guest stars such as Kyle Hebert (The Narrator of Dragon Ball Z), Amanda Lepre (of Descendants of Erdrick), and Duane & BrandO he is back to touring the U.S.!

Kollision Con: J Michael Tatum

Nurtured on anime classics from the tender age of Star Blazers, et al, this reclusive fanboy-turned-voice actor/writer/ADR director/flake extraordinaire spent more years than he cares to remember in what might charitably be described as freefall before landing, mostly by accident, smack dab on the industry of his dreams. To this day, some believe the small crater made by the impact remains the source of his power.

Discovered by Funimation warhorse and visionary ADR director Christopher Bevins, who cast him as Rikichi in 2005's Samurai 7, Tatum's inexplicable luck has held long enough to see his flag hoisted on a slew of dream roles, most notably Kyoya Otori in the hit English language dub of Ouran High School Host Club, suave, demonic Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler and the equal parts maniacal/vulnerable Okarin Rintarou from Steins;Gate. Other characters the man still can't believe he's had the crazy good fortune to play include: Doumeki in XXXHolic, Jiro Mochizuki in Black Blood Brothers, Isaac Dian in Baccano!, Both God Eneru and Dalton in the new dub of One Piece, Komui Lee in D-Gray Man, Dororo in Sgt. Frog, the titular loveable savage of Heroic Age, Ryosuke Takahashi in Initial D, Lawrence Kraft in Spice and Wolf, Zarbon in Dragon Ball Z Kai, Scar in Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Sir Hammerlock in the videogame juggernaut Borderlands 2. His vocal "stylings," much to the chagrin of drama teachers everywhere, he's sure, have also been featured in Romeo X Juliet, Speed Grapher, Trinity Blood, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Black Cat, Nabari no Ou, Ghost Hunt, School Rumble, The Tower of Druaga, Aquarion, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles, Shuffle, Shigurui, Glass Fleet, Mushishi, Soul Eater, along with feature-length films such as Vexille, Summer Wars, and Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, among many others.

And as if being involved with so many awesome shows wasn't enough, in late 2007 the fluky so-and-so tempted fate by officially branching out into ADR directing and adaptive scriptwriting for Funimation as well. His ADR directing credits to date include Aquarion, Jyu-oh-Sei, Romeo X Juliet, Big Windup, Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne and Shikabane Hime (Corpse Princess), while his writing credits include substantial work on Ouran High School Host Club, Heroic Age, Initial D, Blassreiter, Ga Rei: Zero, Hero Tales, Legend of the Legendary Heroes, Fractale, Deadman Wonderland, Steins;Gate and Dragon Ball Z Kai.

In early 2010 he teamed up with Terri Doty and Stephen Hoff to launch That Anime Show, a web-based chat show centered on colorful, often diabolically unhinged interviews with friends and colleagues within the dubbing industry, all episodes of which can be downloaded for free at http://thatanimeshow.com.

Ever the workaholic, Tatum is currently burning the midnight oil on a number of exciting projects due for release later this year. And before you ask, the "J" stands for... Well, it stands for whatever you'd like it to.

Kollision Con: Richard Horvitz

Fans of animation will recognize Richard Horvitz as the voice of many iconic characters, including INVADER ZIM, Billy from THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY, Daggett from THE ANGRY BEAVERS and Alpha 5 from the original MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS.

In addition to Richard's animation work, gamers will recognize him from his many video game roles in such classics as PSYCHONAUTS (RAZ), RATCHET AND CLANK series (Zoni, Pollyx ,Zurgo) DESTROY ALL HUMANS (Orthopox) and SKYLANDERS(Kaos) to name a few. Richard began his acting career on camera and many may recall his role as Alan Eakian in the 1980's cult classic SUMMER SCHOOL.

I didn't know that... Richard was a very cool person and I stared at him like I knew him! I did, I did...

Cosplay at the Kollision Con... and I Thought I was Cool!

I remembered it being called "Dress Up"
So this was a fantastic time, I think we met over a hundred cool people at the "Kollision Con" and this is the first group of photos. I wanted to thank the Kollision People, they sure know how to host a party.. still I found myself lost in some of the characters. Many of these people had no problems correcting us, so for that I thank them... So here is PART I...
