What do you think the weirdest or oddest thing you have seen on television? It's the first thing that popped into your head, that means your subconscious has saved that image to be recalled the second someone asked the question. My first thought was the "Brady Bunch Variety Hour"... and you thought this was going to be an x-file... it is. I am still thinking about this for over 30 years, maybe this is a good thing... maybe?

I agree you can x this out.
ReplyDeleteWhat's sad is I remember that...
ReplyDeletewell, to call themselves a bunch is weird enough to me...
ReplyDeleteAh, so the origin of the Smile Time Variety Hour from The Simpsons...
ReplyDeleteI remember that as well as a ton of the old 70s variety shows. That used to be a big thing, back then...still, though, I agree...it's odd.
ReplyDeleteWhat is odd is our fascination with dreamers with little talent willing to be fileted by smug judges on these talent shows and millions watching their humiliation. Give me Xena any day for an X~! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, talk about second hand embarrassment! How have I never seen that Brady Bunch variety show before?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wholesome American fami....blech!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I threw up in my mouth a little.
Now, The X-Files. That's my bag, baby.
HMG
I used to watch re-runs of the Bradys, but that variety hour doesn't look like it was ever good.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Heather. The X Files is totally my bag. I'm currently rewatching the whole series on Netflix.
I've seen a lot of weird things on tv. A LOT. So I can't pick the single weirdest thing. I can say the weirdest thing I've seen lately, though- Kareem Abdul Jabbar doing synchronized diving with a ten year old girl. Have you heard of this Splash show? WTF?
