B - Black Widow - A to Z Challenge [2014]

Black Widow ("Chernaya Vdova") (Natalia Alianovna "Natasha" Romanova, also known as Natasha Romanoff) is a fictional character, appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by editor and plotter Stan Lee, scripter Don Rico, and artist Don Heck, the character first appeared in Tales of Suspense No. 52 (April 1964). The character was first introduced as a Russian spy, an antagonist of the superhero Iron Man. She later defected to the United States, becoming an agent of the fictional spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D., and a member of the superhero team the Avengers.

Scarlett Johansson portrayed the character in the films Iron Man 2 (2010), Marvel's The Avengers (2012) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and is set to reprise the role in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise.

  8. this is super dorky to say, but she would be killed so quickly if comics were real life, you know with killer alien robots and asgardian legends and stuff running around, but fortunately comics are not real life, cause she is always hot, as are most red headed russian super spys in black leather catsuits

  11. Gotta love Scarlett Johansson. Iron Man 3 was a disappointment, so I guess it's a good thing she wasn't in it, right?

  17. I heard a rumor they may give her her own movie.
Personally, I think she was in Avengers too much. I guess they had to make up for how many hot guys were in the movie compared to 1 hot girl.

    HEAL! HEAL! HEAL!

  22. She's my favorite actress, period. She has tremendous range. I know you're into zombies, super heroes and action, but if you want to see a different side to her, then check out Lost in Translation and A Love Song for Bobby Long. Amazing movies and on my watch over and over and over again list.
