Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff) is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in X-Men #4 (March 1964) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He is the son of Magneto, the twin brother of the Scarlet Witch, and the paternal half-brother of Polaris.
Debuting in the Silver Age of comic books, Quicksilver has featured in four decades of Marvel continuity, starring in the self-titled series Quicksilver and as a regular team member in superhero title the Avengers. The character has also appeared in other Marvel-endorsed products such as animated films; arcade and video games; television series and merchandise such as action figures and trading cards.

In 2006, IGN named Quicksilver #23 on their list of "The Top 25 X-Men Of All Time" commenting that "Quicksilver was the shining example of a villain turned good."[1] Aaron Taylor-Johnson portrays the character in a mid-credits scene in the Marvel Studios film Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will reprise the role in Avengers: Age of Ultron as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while another adaptation of Quicksilver will be played by Evan Peters in the film X-Men: Days of Future Past.

I am thinking Avengers is getting the better Quicksilver.
ReplyDeleteQuicksilver is such a fluid word, isn't it? It takes my mind in myriad directions all at the same time... :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, he may be in both, but Avengers is also getting his sister, the Scarlet Witch.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Bryan Singer has polished his silver......
ReplyDeleteHA! bad boy!
Deletealways :)
DeleteCreated by Stan Lee? I'm not into comic books, but even I recognize that name. Isn't he like the godfather of the comic world?
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a great character. Now I really do have to get started on this whole Avengers thing that I keep hearing about...
