So what can we say about Disney? Holds a special place in some of our hearts, for the villains or heroes and or the beautiful look. I hope to share a little bit of everything in the days coming, maybe things you forgot about, maybe not and being part of the Co-hosting for A to Z Challenge we all remember Tina... a dear friend and sweet lady.
Please stop back throughout the challenge, can I encourage you to start following me on Google + and be a member. I promise to give you posts here on why we are all a little "Hollywood Nuts"! -Jeremy [Retro]

Young filmmaker and scientist Victor Frankenstein lives with his parents, Edward and Susan Frankenstein, and his beloved dog, Sparky, in the quiet town of New Holland. Victor's intelligence is recognized by his classmates at school, his somber next-door neighbor, Elsa Van Helsing, mischievous, Igor-like Edgar "E" Gore, obese and gullible Bob, overconfident Toshiaki, creepy Nassor, and an eccentric girl nicknamed Weird Girl, but communicates little with them due to his relationship with his dog. Concerned with his son's isolation, Victor's father encourages him to take up baseball and make achievements outside of science. Victor hits a home run at his first game, but Sparky, pursuing the ball, is struck by a car and killed.

I've been afraid to watch the feature film because I'm afraid it will be too sad, but I did love the short film, which I saw before I lost a dog tragically.
ReplyDeleteGood post but I don't waych too many films and have not saw this one.
ReplyDeleteYou have an enjoyable week-end.
Yvonne.
I don't believe I've ever watched that one.
ReplyDeleteVery good movie!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Frankenweenie, but Victor is cute. ;P
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a cute one.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the A to Z Challenge!

I haven't seen this movie but he sure is a cute little guy! The synopsis sounds fabulous but my heart sank when I read that his dog dies. You've got my curiosity piqued and I'm definitely going to check it out. Hopefully the sad event takes Frankenweenie on a life-altering journey that ultimately ends in good?

The reason we didnt see it was because it was in black and white. It just didn;t have the appeal I thought.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this movie, but what a sad start.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about that movie.
ReplyDeleteI have watched that one.. I like the author's enthusiasm with his cartoon movies. Great idea my new friend. I've been trying to stop by at least five new people a day, but I guess people don't like to blog hop or they just stay by people they know. :( Oh well, I enjoyed your Post, and yes I do follow all your social networks. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen this film because I thought it would be too sad and I don't like it when animals are hurt even if it is animated:)
ReplyDeleteIs it a spook, spirit or a ghost? I'll have to find out by watching the movie.
ReplyDeleteI never realized what this story was about. Sounds more interesting than I believed.
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's just sad. I don't even want to watch that.

Loved all the blog entries. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this movie, but my friend did say it's a must see!
ReplyDeleteI'll check this out later!
I haven't seen this one, but I wanted to let you know that I will definitley visit your blog, often, after the challenge. I feel bad that I have not visited more often during the challenge , but I am trying to visit as many of the list as I can mange and that makes it difficult to make too many repeat visits to blogs I adore such as yours . I think it's a great idea that you added that request to your post and I hope you won't mind if I steal the idea from you .
ReplyDeleteWas not a fan of this one. I'm usually a t.b. fan. This was up there on the did not like it scale with Charlie and the chocolate factory. Loved the gene wilder version much better than Johnny Depp's.
ReplyDeleteGeeze, Jeremy, where's the happy ending? I need a tissue.
ReplyDeleteAnd Victor is shaped like a Christmas tree. Poor guy.
Haven't seen this one yet- been meaning to for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this one - I cried over Sparky.
