"U" is for U.F.O. (1979) - A to Z April Challenge [2015]

So what can we say about Disney? Holds a special place in some of our hearts, for the villains or heroes and or the beautiful look. I hope to share a little bit of everything in the days coming, maybe things you forgot about, maybe not and being part of the Co-hosting for A to Z Challenge we all remember Tina... a dear friend and sweet lady.

Please stop back throughout the challenge, can I encourage you to start following me on Google + and be a member. I promise to give you posts here on why we are all a little "Hollywood Nuts"! -Jeremy [Retro]

Unidentified Flying Oddball, also known as The Spaceman and King Arthur, is a 1979 film adaptation of Mark Twain’s A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, directed by Russ Mayberry and produced by Walt Disney Productions. Subsequently re-released in the United States under the titles The Spaceman and King Arthur and A Spaceman in King Arthur’s Court, the film starred Dennis Dugan as astronaut Tom Trimble who unintentionally travels back in time with his look-alike android Hermes. Trimble’s NASA spacecraft travels faster than the speed of light, landing him and the android near King Arthur’s Camelot, where – with the aid of their 20th-century technology – they must defeat a plot by the evil Sir Mordred and Merlin to oust King Arthur from the throne.

  4. I saw this movie for the first time in a Drive-In! Can't say that all the time.

I loved the original Twain story but in both this movie and that book I hated that Merlin was painted as a bad guy. Though now that I am older I see why it was done that way.

I have been meaning to rewatch this one forever. Just never have gotten around to it.

  17. That's an old one that I never saw. Probably won't but I'm sure it was funny if Disney did it.
