SOUNDTRACKS/SCORES, FILMS, BOOKS AND MORE!

Sorry Folks, I Have Decided to Quit...

AND SO ON... AND SO ON...
I am not going to visit anyone who has their "CAPTCHA CODE" on I cannot read them, I cannot see them and they are pointless... Some even still have this on and the "APPROVAL" thing on... why waste the time, I won't be leaving any more wasted time trying to decipher it anymore. My site averages around 10 spams a day [caught by Blogger] and I am a nobody, so you are a somebody... so please turn them off.

I have added a "FACEBOOK LIKE ME" page and I want to see you all come there, it's hopefully going to be a one stop place to see all the web happenings, art and design that I seem to do. So follow me down the wabbit hole I promise a world of wondrous things under the rainbow... I think I mentioned three movies in that last statement.

So I am not quitting the sites, just those who keep the "CAPTCHA" up... it's not you it's me... I am blind and found myself spending more time wiggling out letters and numbers.

Happy Friday!

  1. A sensible decision I think. It usually takes me three or four attempts to get the code right. Any more than that and I don't bother leaving a comment.

  2. They say that CAPTCHA codes are archived hard-to-read newspapers that are actually being digitalized one word at a time by internautes. Don't know if there's any truth in that, but I agree they are a pain!

  5. I only hit them on IWSG post day. Wonder if it would be rude to mention it, since it's the default setting of blogger and the person probably doesn't know they have it on?
And that song is almost thirty years old...

  6. I hate CAPTCHA. Very, very few blogs with it on do I visit. I do have comment moderation on, but that's because I snag about 150 spam comments per week. I tried turning comment mod off, but the spam filters didn't catch them all. I don't like them in my visible comments, and I don't have the time to delete them.

  7. I have been having problems too. Maybe I am just getting too old for today's new hip technology.

  8. Let's start a revolution. I join you. I will no longer comment there. I will, in my last comment, tell them why. I go nuts when followers leave me, the whole insecure writer's thing...so I will at least let them know why I'm gone. But I'm with you! Death to captcha! And all the rest of the prove you're not a robot stuff.

  9. I'm not quitting them Jeremy, but it is annoying. What I hate is when I have to enter it two or three times. Not even Huffington Post makes you go through all that.

  10. Yeah, that CAPTCHA business is pretty annoying and super hard on the eyes. I wonder how many folks aren't aware it's on (because they've never tried leaving themselves comments)?

  11. I've said it many times before that captcha people should be avoided in a wide circle :)

  12. I don't care how old that song is - I love Def Leppard! I'm wearing their 2012 concert shirt as I type this.

I made sure my captcha was off as soon as one of the A-Z leaders mentioned it. I had no idea I even had one!

  13. Interesting post! This prompted me to update my own comment settings.

  14. Don't have captcha on but I have to use 'approved comments' due to ghosts/trolls appearing from time to time. . .

I don't see anything wrong with advising the blog owner that there are other alternatives, like approved comments (which takes more effort on their part, but doesn't annoy readers so much). Perhaps we should tell them how to change it? Or where to find the info(if they so desire)

  15. Ok, Zombie. You convinced me. Captchas are turned off. But if I get spam-bombed, I'm holding you personally responsible. ;-)

[Retro] Love the Comments, not so much the Spam... so I have enough man-pills, fake gold watches and link-back options that I need. Thank you!

No More Anonymous Monkeys to much of the above mentioned, sorry sometimes I get some nice things.
