Ah I love the old advertising posters, I know they rattle a few but they are a product of their time
ReplyDeleteAnd here we think today's ads are provocative... At least those women have some meat on them.
ReplyDeleteYes, ads that really get the emotions of a product. Gotta love that. And thanks you Alex for admiring non-skeletal women. Amen!
ReplyDeleteI too much rather have the old ads it would at least give you something to smile about and some really great art work. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend. I'm now following your social networks... hope you can do the same if you stop by me... thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe style of that era is precious. I don't often use that word, but it seems right here.
ReplyDeleteLove the first two ads. They're so classically funny! Love the artwork...

It looks like they're not really selling shaving cream here. But fun pictures nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteI loved these Jeremy. on a sombre note May Terry Plumeri R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he will be sadly missed.
Yvonne.
These are so cool to see these ads. I do like the first one.
ReplyDeleteThese old adds make me remember the Aqua Velva man, and the Old Spice commercials. Oh, and Hi Karate! I suppose they all tried to make men believe if they smelled good enough and their face was smooth enough women would want to touch them and perhaps let them touch them back. LOL
ReplyDeleteRevisit the Tender Years with me during the #AtoZChallenge at Life & Faith in Caneyhead!
My Dad used Skin Bracer, and I bought him a bottle every year for Christmas. :) Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteadvertising doesn't seem to have matured in-between, they had girls in shaving cream ads even in those early days
ReplyDeleteThe guy in the first ad looks about 20 years older than all the women in it! :)
