From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

It's ninety-seven percent on Rotten Tomatoes - supposed to be THE movie of the summer. So stoked. Taking off early from wok on Friday to go see it.
ReplyDeleteFrom all the hype, it should be fabulous. Whether it is the movie of the summer remains to be seen. Quite a few dynamite choices out there.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that Groot picture before Jeremy! I'm super-excited about this one.
ReplyDeleteI have a Lee Pace radar in me and that is why I came... over
ReplyDeleteKaren Gillan...and not just because she was on Doctor Who...
ReplyDelete9/10 on IMDB, looks really good in my opinion. Definitely considering in going to see this film. Has anyone else seen it yet?
ReplyDeleteI SO want to see this! It will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine said, DC can't pull off Wonder Woman or a good Batman and yet Marvel made a movie with a raccoon and a machine gun!
I finally went to see this yesterday. It lasts very long, and is overall a pretty cool movie. It would be fantastic in 3D as the action is amazing, and has some funny moments too!
