The WALKING DEAD Season 4, so where were you when the DEAD took over?

DARYL DIXON: While Daryl still struggles with the loss of his brother, he now has the opportunity to become a leader. Will he rise to the occasion?

“The Walking Dead,” the most watched drama in basic cable history, returns for another terrifying and exhilarating season on Sunday, October 13th at 9pm ET/PT.  In this highly anticipated new season, we see Rick and the group of survivors fostering a thriving community in the safe haven of the prison. Sadly, in this brutal world, happiness is short-lived and walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous. Season 4 also introduces several new characters including Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., “The Wire”).

RICK GRIMES: Rick is slowly recovering from the loss of his wife. With new people at the prison, the group dynamic has changed dramatically and the pressures and threats have started to multiply. All along, Rick is fighting to return to the man he once was, but is it a battle he can win?

 

I have not seen an episode since the end of the second season, I got caught up into the hype and for me I lost interests. I love the visuals and story, but until people relax... I don't like to be told to watch something.

Second you might have been following the tour and some time ago I asked George Takei of Star Trek fame a question that stumped the man. For whatever reason I have been teasing the response of what I asked the him, now it's cool I was able to do it... but first.

On the 10th of this month I was interviewed for a "Halloween" spectacular for "Defending the Pen" hosted by Yolanda and I wanted to share her site and my responses. I guess I made a little stir with my responses as I thought I might. I know I scared myself too, so maybe you might as well.

I hope the response I got from George Takei is worthy of making you all wait so long and the fact that I made him smile.. though he was a cool person, him and Nichelle Nichols both were. So I asked the man his shoe size, as he laughed and said no one has ever asked him this... yup that's it people... shoe size. Was it worth the wait?

Frankenstein Friday...

Frankenstein, Jr. and the Impossibles was an American Saturday morning cartoon produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1966. It premiered on September 10, 1966, and ran for two seasons.

The program contained two segments, which each served as a middle ground between Hanna-Barbera's traditional cartoon early output and its superhero-based late-1960s cartoons.

    Frankenstein, Jr.: Taking place in Civic City, boy scientist Buzz Conroy (voiced by Dick Beals) and his father Professor Conroy (voiced by John Stephenson) fight supervillains with the aid of a powerful heroic robot named "Frankenstein Jr." (voiced by Ted Cassidy). "Frankie", as Buzz usually referred to him, was more than a little reminiscent of the title character in Gigantor. Buzz built "Frankie" and activated him through an energy ring.

I sort of remember this one, but not like I should... how about you?

Plan 9 from Outer Space... Countdown to Halloween!

Plan 9 from Outer Space (originally titled Grave Robbers from Outer Space, or simply known as Plan 9) is a 1959 American science fiction thriller film written and directed by Edward D. Wood, Jr. The film features Gregory Walcott, Mona McKinnon, Tor Johnson and Maila "Vampira" Nurmi. The film bills Bela Lugosi posthumously as a star, although silent footage of the actor had been shot by Wood for other, unfinished projects just before Lugosi's death in 1956.

The plot of the film involves extraterrestrial beings who are seeking to stop humans from creating a doomsday weapon that would destroy the universe. In the course of doing so, the aliens implement "Plan 9", a scheme to resurrect Earth's dead as what modern audiences would consider zombies (called "ghouls" in the film itself) to get the planet's attention, causing chaos.

Vertigo... Countdown to Halloween!

Vertigo is the feeling that you or your environment is moving or spinning. It differs from dizziness in that vertigo describes an illusion of movement. When you feel as if you yourself are moving, it's called subjective vertigo, and the perception that your surroundings are moving is called objective vertigo.  Unlike nonspecific lightheadedness or dizziness, vertigo has relatively few causes.

Vertigo is a 1958 psychological thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The story was based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts by Boileau-Narcejac. The screenplay was written by Alec Coppel and Samuel A. Taylor.

The film stars James Stewart as former police detective John "Scottie" Ferguson. Scottie is forced into early retirement because an incident in the line of duty has caused him to develop acrophobia (an extreme fear of heights) and vertigo (a sensation of false, rotational, movement). Scottie is hired by an acquaintance, Gavin Elster, as a private investigator to follow Gavin's wife Madeleine (Kim Novak), who is behaving strangely.
