Those old posters are such a hoot.
ReplyDeleteI first saw this one on a small black and white TV. A girl who lived next door and was a few years older had a little TV in her room. Which back then was very unusual and way cool! A local station got in the habit for a time playing old horror movies on Saturday afternoon. I'd go next door and watch with Debbie, because at home my parents were like "We're not watching that stuff. It will just give you nightmares." Having never been allowed to see movies like this before, it did scare the dickens out of me, but no nightmares.
ReplyDeleteYou always entertain, Jeremy. Is Godzilla twerking? And that woman above - she has a "Come hither and explore my nether regions" look. I think she has a thing for the creature. That man doesn't stand a chance.
ReplyDeleteI used to have Creature from the Black Lagoon pinball on my computer. Fun, but it won't play right on my newer pc.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that Dave Edmunds song.
Even way back they knew hot bodies would sell tickets. I think I saw this once, a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteThe video is blocked for me but I distinctly remember watching this on TV in 3-D. It really made the movie pop but I was too young to really understand it. A fun flashback and hurrah for Black Lagoon day!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites of the movie monsters. I have a "Creature" repro movie poster in my closet that I need to hang up in my writing office. It used to be in my work office when I was still working at a workplace.

the Creature was probably one of the First Movie Monsters... that we really liked as a small child...
ReplyDeleteHey Jeremy!
ReplyDeleteYou are everywhere. I'm hoping that's a good thing! Love the poster. As for the video, um, whatever! :)
