I do agree that some movies need to be remade into a better version since the original sucked enough as it is. Classic movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Children of the Corn shouldn't of ever been touched.Jenny Kruegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00380254017784609692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3705104764244432700.post-21254063544217959222012-02-23T01:21:37.548-06:002012-02-23T01:21:37.548-06:00Feel better! I never got it on DVD, though I had it on VHS. Darn technology. I used to be able to do a perfect Shelley Duvall/Olive Oyl impersonation. Scary.

Shannon at The Warrior Muse, co-host of the 2012 #atozchallenge! Neither of us remembered it being so weird or blah back in 1980. I realize that the use of ugly people and drab colors was part of the whole ambiance, but somehow the mumbling and awkwardness of the cartoon didn't translate well in this film. I LOVED the cartoon, but you can keep the movie all to yourself. Maybe the 3D CG version will be better, but probably not. It's not really OUR Popeye anymore is it?Creepy Glowbugghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10972124064554743632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3705104764244432700.post-50952009935141345352012-02-22T08:44:03.089-06:002012-02-22T08:44:03.089-06:00Great clip!
